A little background

Hi, I’m Sophie, and I’ve been reading Tarot for over 25 years. I started learning Tarot as a teenager sitting around my best friend’s kitchen table poring over a well-loved, totally battered 1970s Sheridan-Douglas deck of her mother’s (pictured above – the deck not the mother). You can read a longer version of that story on my blog.

I read Tarot for the joy of it, the love of the images, for guidance and inspiration, personal growth and spiritual development, for mental stimulation, for answers to my questions, and sometimes I am looking for the questions themselves.

That’s what I get from Tarot, but what about you? That’s why we’re here.

What you can expect from the cards

Whatever your situation, I believe that any of the 78 cards of Tarot will hold some wisdom for you in that very moment it is drawn from the deck. Whatever the card, it will hold some relevance and speak to you in that moment.

Tarot can offer you not only profound insight but also deep comfort when needed.

And, importantly, it can be fun and uplifting and I would love to do a reading for you.

What you can expect from me

I’m an intuitive Tarot reader, not a psychic.

What does that mean? Simply, that I allow myself to be guided by an inner voice and I trust the words that come when I look at the cards.

I do not claim to predict what might happen tomorrow, next week, next month or whenever. So, my readings are not predictive. I prefer to think that the cards can help you shape your future rather than ‘tell’ it.

I am also a little bit of a tarot nerd who can’t keep her face out of the books, the decks and the internet of Tarot. And I love to analyse the symbols, the numbers and the beautiful imagery. So you’ll get some of that kind of nerdy detail in a reading from me.

Through the cards, I want to help you to tap into your own wisdom around the question that you have, to draw out guidance that will help you make sense of your situation and to move forward in the here and now with confidence in yourself and trust in the choices you make.
