Today, I am continuing with the creative #Actctober2021 Tarot Challenge hosted by @GlitterbyInk and @LivingJivaWell
The prompt: Today, how will I act with curiosity?
Deck: The Slow Tarot by Lacey Bryant
Let’s hear it for the boys and girls
With ‘curiosity’ as the prompt, I wanted to take a moment to enjoy the most curious characters of the Tarot, the Pages. Here’s a little love for my favourite Pages, the beautiful court children of artist Lacey Bryant’s The Slow Tarot.
And with them their spirit leader, the Fool and his trusty canine friend.
I find these little people to be so utterly charming, open and engaging, so full of life and character. They seem to speak so clearly and say…
Hey, look what I’ve found!
Look what I’ve made. You want to try some?
Come and play.
You want to sit by my fire? I built it myself.
For these boys and girls, the world is a new and exciting place and they are going to be out exploring and playing until the sun goes down, squeezing every last drop out of the day and out of life. Running with the wind. Building sandcastles and bonfires. Pitching tents and setting up lemonade stalls.
And then home for dinner and bed – maybe a little sunburnt, certainly a bit grubby and in need of a wash and a brush – to sleep the sleep of the innocent and to dream of tomorrow’s adventures.
They are every child
And the child within.
The embodiment and expression of the irrepressible spirit of the Fool. Taking each day as it comes, ready to take that leap of faith. Brave, curious, open to possibility.
So, how will I act with curiosity today?
Today, and every day, I step out into the world and I engage with an open heart and a curious mind. I have confidence in myself and my abilities, and faith in my goodness and talents. And I have faith in the goodness and talents of others and know that I am the best person that I can be when I am looking for the best in others.
