I’m having a Tarot moment… a Star moment.

I went for a walk this morning, a beautiful mid-September morning. Bright and clear with the air full of all the smells. Oh, autumn, autumny autumn, I feel you coming.

… I had the Explorer of Swords and the Star {The Spacious Tarot} in my pocket… a ‘jumper’ card and my draw for the day.

Further vital backstory now. I’ve been sleeping with three cards under my pillow for a while – the Tower, the Star and the Hermit. Thoth. In case you were wondering what deck dwells where I lay down my sweet head. I feel if any deck is going to inform or let’s say penetrate my dreams it’s going to be the Thoth, right?

So, I spent a long time gazing at the Star last night just before sleep, just because, and here she popped up again this morning peeping out of the dark night sky.

Anyway, back to my moment… I walked and I wondered what the Star could possibly mean for me today.

Am I having a Star moment? Really? Not really.

Am I full of hope, inspiration and self-acceptance? Not quite.

And then, of course, it struck me.

I just need to accept that I am. Believe that I am. Be the Star that I want to be today. Get up and twinkle and shine.

Er, TAHDAY.

So today I set the intention to write a short navelgazing stargazing post here and publish it. Without fail. This site has been sitting more or less ready to go live for a few months now, but I just haven’t pressed the button on it.

Why?

I knew that I wanted to write about Tarot, my experience of it anyway, but honestly, what would I write that hadn’t been written before? What could I possibly have to say that you haven’t heard before? Does the world really need another Tarot reader/blogger jamming up the internet with (albeit) pretty pictures and brave new words?

Hell yeah! We all love that stuff, right? Let’s have more of it!

But is there space for more of that? Really, is there? Yes, because I’ve just created some right here, my friends.

And right here I can write about what the f*ck I like because I’m the goddamn Star damn it! Just for a moment. Here and now.

So, watch this space…

Also interesting that my ‘jumper’ card was the Explorer of Swords – who’s not afraid to go out on a limb. Encouraging me to seize the day and stop waiting until everything is finished and perfect. Stop waiting for permission.
